تین ماہ قبل ایران سے حوثیوں کے زیر اثر یمن کی بندرگاہ کی جانب جاتے ہوئے پانچ ہزار ہتھیاروں،لاکھ سے زائد گولہ بارود اور 1 ہزار میزائل اور دیگر ہتھیاروں سے بھرے ایک بحری جہاز کو روکا گیا تھا اور اسے قبضے میں لے لیا گیا تھا۔ یہ اسی طرح کی سینکڑوں کھیپوں میں سے صرف ایک ہے جس نے تقریبا آٹھ سال اور سات ماہ تک جنگ کو ہوا دی ہے۔

اس بار، بہت سی وجوہات ہیں جن کی وجہ سے ہمیں پر امید ہونا چاہئے. یمن میں امن کے اعلان کے ساتھ فوجی کارروائیوں کے خاتمے، افواج کا انخلا اور دونوں اطراف سے قیدیوں کی رہائی جیسے ٹھوس اقدامات بھی شامل ہیں۔ یہ اس اہم خطے میں دیرپا امن کی جانب ایک حوصلہ افزا آغاز ہے۔ جنگ کا خاتمہ   سب سے اہم پیش رفت ہوگی  جس کے نتیجے میں سلامتی و استحکام کا قیام سب کے مفاد میں ہوگا۔
